After the BJP government’s announcement on the scrapping of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, the Pakistani government banned Indian cinema, drama, and any Indian content in Pakistan. Firdous Ashiq Awan, an adviser to Pakistani PM Imran Khan tweeted, “No Indian cinema will be screened in any Pakistani cinema. Drama, films and Indian content of this kind will be completely banned in Pakistan.”

Now, Bollywood celebs like John Abraham, Nikkhil Advani, and singer Kailash Kher have reacted to the ban by Pakistan.

As reported by ANI, John said, “India comes first,” While Kailash Kher said, “By God’s grace, we are capable of developing our motherland. So, if Pakistan has banned Indian films, it doesn’t matter. It’s more likely to be their loss,” he stated. Nikkhil, whose ‘Batla House’ recently released said, “It’s not fair that on one side, soldiers are fighting and guarding the LoC and we are releasing films.”

Recently, All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) and Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) banned singer Mika Singh from the Indian film industry for performing at an event in Karachi.

Coming back to John, his recent release was ‘Batla House’ where he played a cop. The movie is based on the Batla House encounter aka Operation Batla House. It took place against the Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in the Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi on September 19, 2008.

It had a decent opening on Day 1 at the box office.
