My script is my king: Kajol REVEALS what made her say yes to The Trial: Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha

The wait is finally over. Kajol starrer The Trial: Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha trailer is now out. As seen in the trailer, Kajol is set to leave fans speechless with her performance in her OTT debut project. For the uninitiated, The Trial: Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha is a remake of the hit American legal and political drama ‘The Good Wife’. At the trailer launch of The Trial, Kajol revealed what made her say yes to the web series.

Here’s why Kajol said yes to the Hindi remake

The actress shared, “Honestly, it was standout for me because I have watched the original show. I loved it at that point of time and that’s where the discussion with Deepak actually came in. The character was amazing. The concept was fabulous but I did have a question as to how it would be adapted in Hindi. And that’s where Suparn (Verma) came in and that’s where the entire narration came in for the script.”

Kajol added, “For me, it’s really about the script. It has to be about the script. And I will say this right now that the script is never about just one character. It’s always about everybody. Everybody’s character in this series, in the adaptation is absolutely so well rounded, so well-written and I really loved the script. My script is my king.”

On the other hand, Kajol starrer The Trial: Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha trailer will leave you wanting for more. This is the first time Kajol is playing the role of a lawyer. Going by the trailer, she has absolutely nailed it and how!

Kajol shared the trailer on her Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Trials sirf courtroom mein nahin, zindagi mein bhi hote hain. Watch Noyonika Sen Gupta face the toughest trail of her life – #HotstarSpecials #TheTrial – Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha, streaming from 14^th July #TheTrialOnHotstar.”
