The tussle between Kangana Ranaut and Maharashtra government escalated far quickly when BMC partially demolished the actress’ office in Mumbai on September 9. While Kangana has maintained that BMC never gave her any prior notice and now she has also accused them of lying.

Certain reports were doing the rounds that BMC had already sent a notice to Kangana back in 2018. Refuting these reports, the ‘Panga’ actress accused the Maharashtra government of spreading fake information.

Kangana took to her Twitter account and clarifying about a document, which stated that BMC had sent a notice to her for unauthorised construction in Mumbai in 2018, called it fake.

Paid sources of Maha government are spreading fake info BMC never sent any notice to me until yesterday, in fact,I got all the documents cleared myself from BMC for renovations. ⁦@mybmc⁩ at least have the courage to stand by your audacity. why lie now? sic)” tweeted the actress.

She also attached the said document doing the rounds of the show media in her tweet

Previously too Kangana had claimed that she has all the permissions in place and there’s nothing illegal in her Mumbai office. However, BMC termed certain construction in her office illegal and partially demolished it yesterday when the actress was on her way to Mumbai from Manali.

Meanwhile, yesterday Bombay High Court stayed the demolition drive undertaken by BMC. And now Kangana’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui has said that they are looking to filing contempt proceedings and charges against the BMC. They will probably also claim charges of the destruction caused by the demolition.
