Karan Aujla's Concert Organisers Clarify Why Shows Were Cancelled

Team Innovation, singer Karan Aujla’s management team, has released an official statement addressing recent media reports regarding the cancellation of his concerts in Lucknow and Ludhiana. They strongly deny claims that the cancellations were related to backlash or mismanagement. This clarification comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Karan Aujla’s recent concerts in Delhi and Mumbai. They faced online criticism over alleged operational issues and crowd management.

Concert Organisers Of Karan Aujla Clarify Why Shows Were Cancelled

The organisers emphasised that there is no connection between the earlier concert criticisms and the decision to cancel the upcoming shows. “We wish to formally address and firmly refute certain media reports suggesting that the cancellations of the Lucknow and Ludhiana shows were linked to backlash or mismanagement,” the statement read.

They described these reports as misleading, incomplete, and factually incorrect. “This appears to be a deliberate attempt to misrepresent facts and damage the reputation of those involved,” they added.

Team Innovation Justifies Cancellation

According to Team Innovation, the cancellations were primarily due to regulatory and operational issues. It specifically refers to the non-issuance of mandatory liquor permits by local authorities. “The decision was made after careful evaluation of regulatory constraints, especially the non-availability of liquor permits. Such permits are essential for event operations, including hospitality zones, premium audience experiences, and fulfilling sponsor commitments. Without these permits, the event’s execution would be severely impacted, affecting both its viability and the audience’s experience,” they explained.

Background details noted that some independent reports acknowledged the liquor license issues but criticised the media for selective reporting. “While independent sources have recognised liquor license procurement as a key challenge, attributing the cancellations solely to unrelated narratives while ignoring the primary regulatory hurdles is both inaccurate and irresponsible,” they said.

Organisers On Taking Decision Due To Audience Safety

The organisers highlighted that the decision was made with audience safety and experience in mind. “Our proactive decision aimed to prevent any inconvenience or safety concerns for fans,” they stated. Reiterating their stance, Team Innovation dismissed claims linking the cancellations to any backlash, calling such assertions “baseless” and “defamatory.”

“We confirm that the cancellations were solely due to regulatory and operational limitations. Any suggestion that they were caused by backlash from previous concerts is false, misleading, and damaging. Such reports distort the truth and unjustly harm the reputation of all involved—including organisers, partners, and the artist,” the statement concluded.

Signed by Siddhesh Kudtarkar, Founder of Team Innovation, the statement ended with a plea for media outlets. “We urge media platforms to exercise due diligence and responsibility before publishing speculative or one-sided narratives that could mislead the public and harm industry stakeholders,” it read.
