Karan Johar reveals Katrina-Vicky and Alia-Ranbir’s love story as his favourite, Here’s why

The biggest weddings of Bollywood that took the nation by storm were Katrina Kaif – Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt – Ranbir Kapoor. While Alia and Ranbir were quite open about their relationship before the wedding, it was Vicky and Katrina who surprised one and all with their wedding news. There were a lot of conjectures about the couple but they put a stamp on their relationship when they got married. Nevertheless, did you know filmmaker Karan Johar’s favourite couples are Katrina-Vicky and Alia-Ranbir?

Well, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Karan revealed that he is like the Indian matchmaker Sima Taparia as he takes credit for making their love story. KJo believes that Katrina and Vicky’s romance started from his Koffee couch, he also believes that Ranbir and Alia’s romance also started from the couch.

Karan Johar said, “I love the Vicky-Katrina romance. I love that it came out of nowhere and it was beautiful and it started on this couch. I like that romance. I also love the Ranbir-Alia romance because that also started from the couch. Taking full credit, I’ve become Sima Taparia.”

Speaking about their weddings, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal wedding happened in Rajasthan where they had an intimate yet grand wedding with only friends and family in attendance. They tied the knot on December 9, 2021.

On the other hand, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor wedding happened in Mumbai with friends and family in attendance. They married at Ranbir’s Vastu residence on April 14, 2022.
