The latest rumours suggested that Katrina Kaif had been cast opposite Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s highly anticipated action drama Spirit. Reports also claimed that this film would mark her return to Telugu cinema after nearly twenty years, sparking excitement among fans.

However, it appears these rumours are baseless. A well-placed industry source has dismissed the reports, calling them “completely inaccurate and misleading.” The source stated to Bollywood Hungama, “There is absolutely no truth to the claims being made about Katrina Kaif’s future acting plans. The report is based entirely on speculation and misinformation, with no verification.” This clarification puts an end, at least for now, to the circulating rumours linking her to one of the most eagerly awaited projects currently in production.

Interestingly, Spirit has been in the headlines since its announcement, with various casting rumours emerging over the years. Earlier, there were reports that star couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan were being considered for key roles. The project gained further attention after Deepika Padukone reportedly exited due to disagreements over remuneration and work conditions.

She was later replaced by Triptii Dimri, who previously collaborated with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga in Animal. Alongside Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, Spirit also features Vivek Oberoi in a pivotal role. The film is one of the most anticipated releases from Vanga and is scheduled to hit theatres on March 5, 2027.
