Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial Love And War, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, still has approximately 70 days of filming remaining. The production has yet to shoot six elaborate period songs, with nearly 35 days allocated solely for these grand musical sequences. Bhansali is known for meticulously building his cinematic world with patience and precision, and Love & War is no exception. The project, which began filming in November 2024, is currently underway at Film City in Goregaon, Mumbai.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War Has 70 Days Of Shooting
A source close to the production told mid-day, “We have over two months left of shooting, with six songs still to be filmed. About 35 days are dedicated exclusively to the song sequences. As is typical with Bhansali’s films, these aren’t quick or simple tracks; they are envisioned as elaborate sequences on a grand scale. The period-specific songs require extensive preparation before filming.”
The extended shoot has naturally affected the film’s release schedule. Love & War was initially aiming for an Independence Day release. However, with Aamir Khan’s Lahore 1947 announced to arrive in cinemas on August 13, the release date for Love & War is yet to be finalised.
