mahabharata, yudhishthir, gajendra chauhan, adipurush

The chatters around Adipurush starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon has not been dying ever since it was released. Apart from bashing the portrayal of the movie, fans are also disliking the lingo used in the movie. The actors who have played the characters in iconic shows like Mahabharata and Ramayana also share their displeasure. Speaking of which, Gajendra Chauhan who played Yudhishthir in Mahabharata slammed Adipurush. He also demanded a ban on Om Raut’s directorial venture.

Gajendra Chauhan on Adipurush ban

During an interview with India Today, Gajendra said, “The entire film should be banned. The government should immediately put a stop to it.” He also said, “I had booked a ticket to watch this film. But for some reason, my conscience refused to accept that I should go and watch it in the theatre. In fact, after seeing everything in the trailers and short clips, I realised that this film is not worth it. I don’t want to compromise my beliefs. I want to see Lord Ram as Lord Shri Ram.

Gajendra slammed Manoj Muntashir for the dialogues

The Mahabharata actor said, “Yeh giri hui soch ka natija hai (This is a product of low thinking). You write the way you think. Manoj Muntashir, who is a lyricist was given the job to write dialogues for the film. He has copied things from different sources and made a mess and is too egotistical man. He hasn’t achieved an inch of what Rahi Masoom Raza Saab had written in Mahabharat.” Earlier, even Mukesh Khanna who played Bhishma Pitamah in the epic show slammed the movie for the same.

Directed by Adipurush, the movie also starrer Saif Ali Khan as Ravan, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Devdutt Nage as Hanuman.
