Mahesh Bhatt, Mona Darling

Usually, we have seen celebrities supporting and backing each other’s movies. But, it’s a rare phenomena to see someone from the industry advising you to not watch a movie. Well, that’s exactly what has happened in the case of the upcoming social media horror flick ‘Mona Darling‘.

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has asked audience to not watch the movie and that too without seeing the movie himself. But, he has his reasons for it. In an interview with ‘Mona Darling’ actor Anshuman Jha, he stated that he (Mahesh Bhatt) had said a similar thing about his movie ‘Sadak’ 26 years ago. Mahesh Bhatt had then quoted, “don’t watch my film ‘Sadak’ if you dont have the stomach for it”. ‘Sadak’ turned out to be a hit. On the other hand, Jha is not miffed with the director as he says, “I am shocked and happy. Shocked because he said don’t watch ‘Mona Darling’ and happy because he compared us with ‘Sadak’. I would love to show him our film.”
