Answering the question, Kangana Ranaut said, “I have a crazy story. We were all coming up and working with Bhatt Saab (Mahesh Bhatt). We were strugglers in the Vishesh Films camp (laughs). Shanana Goswami had got a new house in Yari Road. She asked us to come over to her house to party. Shagufta Rafiqe, Shahana and all of us were having a gala time.”
She continued, “This is when Bhatt Saab came in. He entered and told us, ‘Switch on the TV’. We were dancing and having fun. He, meanwhile, started watching the news and told us that terrorist attacks were taking place in the city. We (then) approached Shahana and asked her, ‘What should we do? Should we go home or continue partying? (laughs)’! Bhatt saab advised, ‘You all should leave now’.”
The actress-politician further said, “We were a bunch of 20-25 people partying. If Bhatt saab had not broken the news to us, we wouldn’t have known. I remember that day vividly.”
Girija Oak revealed that on that unfortunate evening, she was at PVR Icon in Versova attending a premiere of a film. She noted that the screening was stopped mid-way and all present were asked to leave.
