Mithun Chakraborty’s mother is no more. The news of her demise was confirmed by the veteran actor’s youngest son Namashi Chakraborty.

While speaking to Anand Bazaar Online, Namashi shared, “Yes, the news is true. Grandma is no longer with us.” Nimashi did not reveal any more details about his grandmother’s demise. The Chakraborty family is going through a difficult time.

On the other hand, Mithun Chakraborty lost his father lost in April, 2020, due to Kidney failure. The sad news of Mithun’s father, Basanta Kumar Chakraborty was also revealed by Namashi, who is also an actor.

On the work front, Mithun Chakraborty was last seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Films co-starring Anupam Kher. The Kashmir Files was a part of many controversies. However, it did well at the box office.

On the other hand, Mithun Chakraborty will be next seen in Baap. The film was announced in November last year. The veteran actor will be sharing screen space with Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt in the same. The first look of Baap was unveiled by the makers last year. The first look poster gave fans a glimpse of Mithun, Sanjay, Jackie and Sunny’s characters.

Jackie Shroff too shared the first look poster on his Instagram and wrote in the caption, “#BaapOfAllFilms Shoot dhamal (fire emoji) dosti bemisaal (fire emoji).” The makers are yet to announce Baap’s release date. However, fans are beyond excited for it. Some are already convinced that it will be a hit.
