Neetu Kapoor confirms testing positive for Covid-19

Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor is all set to make a comeback on the silver screen with Raj Mehta’s ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actress was shooting for the film in Chandigarh where she contracted the deadly Coronavirus.

Earlier today, Neetu took to her Instagram handle and confirmed that she has tested positive for Coronavirus. The actress also thanked her well-wishers and urged everyone to stay safe and wear a mask.

Confirming the news of her Coronavirus diagnosis, Neetu took to her Instagram handle and wrote, “Earlier this week I tested positive for Covid-19. All safety measures are being followed and I am thankful to the authorities for all their help and quick response.”

She further added, “I am in self-quarantine, taking medication on my doctor’s advice and feeling better. I am so grateful for all your love and support!. Please stay safe, wear a mask, keep a safe distance. Take care.”

Reacting on Neetu’s post her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni wrote, “Strongest ! Fittest ! ❤️”. Similarly several other celebs extended speedy recovery message to Neetu.

‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ also features Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul. Apart from Neetu her co-stars – Varun, Maniesh Paul and director Raj Mehta have also tested positive for Coronavirus. Whereas, Anil and Kiara have tested negative for Covid-19.

The shooting of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ has been stalled now as all the actors have returned to Mumbai. The shooting will apparently resume once everyone’s Covid test comes negative.
