‘October’: Varun Dhawan’s first look marks the announcement of a new release date

Shoojit Sircar’s ‘October’, starring Varun Dhawan, has been making all the right noise, ever since its announcement. It has been touted to be an unusual love story, something which has not been seen before in Bollywood. Not just that, the movie was in news because of its female lead too. After numerous speculations, the makers finalised on one and it was revealed to be newbie Banita Sandhu. Earlier in August, Varun had announced the release date of the movie to be June 1, 2018, however, now, it has been preponed.

Well, the still has surely intrigued us. We hope that this turns out to be something different. Given Varun and his track record, and Shoojit Sircar’s masterful storytelling skills, we are keeping our fingers crossed for a wonderful cinematic experience.

If grapevine is to be believed, ‘October’ is inspired from the Hollywood movie ‘Her’, where a man falls in love with a user interface voice of a woman. The movie is an Academy award nominee and has earned various accolades. Interesting!
