Prabhas starrer Salaar new release date announced, set to clash with THIS Bollywood biggie

Actors Prabhas and Shruti Haasan starrer Salaar now gets a new release date as the film is set to hit the big screens next year. That’s right! The film will be released on 28th September 2023. The film was initially supposed to release on  April 14, 2022; however, now the makers seemed to have decided to bring the mega action-packed film next year. Nevertheless, the film will not have a solo release as it will be clashing with one of the Bollywood biggies and it is none other than Fighter.

With the announcement of a new release date, Salaar is set to clash with Fighter starring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan. Now, it is yet to be seen if Sidharth Anand moves the release date of the film. Earlier, the Baahubali star was asked if he feels pressure after the success of KGF 2, to which, Prabhas said, “Why? It’s good news right! Prashanth Neel delivering a blockbuster — my director! It’s big news, it’s a very beautiful news for the whole team.”

The Radhe Shyam actor added, “We’ve already started shooting Salaar, so it’s great news that I’m working with one of the biggest directors. It’s great news. Why is there any pressure? It’s a happy thing!”

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, the producer said, “We have set the bar very high for Salaar. On one hand, we have Prabhas, who is the hero of India’s number one movie (Bahubali 2) and on the other hand, we have Prashanth Neel and Hombale, who made the second biggest film of India (KGF 2). This is a deadly combination and it’s going to be a big challenge. The combination has created the buzz and now, since we have set the bar so high, we will try our best to reach the target. We will achieve something big with Salaar.” 

Salaar also stars Shruti Haasan in the female lead and Disha Patani in a special role. Apart from Salaar, Prabhas also has Om Raut’s Adipurush with Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon. He also has Spirit with Kabir Singh fame director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
