Ranveer Singh has already started preparing for ‘Pralay’ with Jay Mehta and will begin filming internationally later this year. The Dhurandhar star is all set to commence filming for his next big project, ‘Pralay,’ later this year. As Bollywood’s latest entry into the zombie-apocalypse genre, the movie has been generating a lot of buzz since last year. According to recent reports, the actor is gearing up to start shooting in Australia in September and has already begun his preparations.
Ranveer Singh To Film Pralay In Australia
Ranveer Singh is ready to head to Australia to begin filming for Jay Mehta’s directorial venture ‘Pralay’ in September, as reported by Pinkvilla. It has also been shared that pre-production work for the film has already commenced in Australia. The report stated, “Ranveer will start shooting for the Jay Mehta directorial in the second half of 2026. The shoot is planned in Australia, and he has already kick-started prep. This is a film that requires intense physical and emotional preparation, given the scale and genre.” Additionally, the crew working on the film will include many technicians and supervisors with experience on international projects.
Another detail from the report mentioned that the film will heavily rely on VFX and special effects, with the production team focusing on every detail. The statement read, “Pralay will rely heavily on VFX. Jai and his team are actively working on the screenplay, visual detailing, and the larger zombie universe. Ranveer too has been involved in creative discussions on a day-to-day basis.”
The story will revolve around themes of a zombie apocalypse ravaging the world and causing humanity to fall apart, centred on a couple doing everything possible to survive. Jay Mehta told Variety India that “It’s the kind of film that India hasn’t made yet, the kind of film that India hasn’t seen before.”
About Ranveer Singh’s Don 3 Row
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh has been in the headlines following his controversial exit from the upcoming project ‘Don 3.’ According to the Free Press Journal, the actor has refused to comment on the matter to the media. For the next 18 months, Singh is reportedly prioritising his work and filming commitments and will avoid media interactions. A statement from the report shared that a trade journalist had approached the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ star. However, “I met him personally, and he told me he will not speak on the ‘Don 3’ controversy, nor will he give any interviews for at least 18 months.”
Lastly, Kalyani Priyadarshini is rumoured to join Ranveer Singh for the film. However, neither the production team nor the actress has confirmed this. If the actress does join the project, it will mark her Bollywood debut after her success with ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.’
