Bollywood lost two gems back to back in less than 24 hours. Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29 due to a colon infection while Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on April 30 as he was suffering from leukemia. Post their death, a scene from Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan’s 2013 film ‘D-Day’ went viral on social media. Fans are mourning the death of both the legends with this video.

‘D-Day’ was the only movie Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor worked together. Director Nikkhil Advani talked to film critic Rajeev Masand about working with both the actors in ‘D-Day’. He said, “When they came together, Rishi Kapoor had heard that Irrfan Khan is this great actor. So he wanted to see it and fortunately for me, they were doing this one scene where Irrfan decided to improvise. And Irrfan never ever gives the same cue again. So Rishi Kapoor called me and said, ‘Usko samjhao, usko acting nahi aati hai. He has to hit his cue otherwise I will not know how to do and what to say.’ So I explained to him and said ‘Sir you don’t have to worry. You start speaking whenever you want to speak, don’t worry about him.’

Nikkhil also said that they were different but were very special. He added that the film has become more special for him now.

In ‘D-Day’, Irrfan played an undercover R&AW agent while Rishi played an undercover don.
