The spike in Covid cases is alarming and the film industry seems to be affected the most. Despite taking precautions and following all the protocols, the number of celebs contracting the deadly virus seems to be unending. After Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor and Seema Pahwa now RRR writer and SS Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad has tested positive for Covid.

According to the Times of India report, Vijayendra Prasad has tested positive for Coronavirus and he is currently under home quarantine. The 78-year-old veteran writer is currently following all the precautions as advised by the doctors.

Vijayendra has penned the scripts for movies like Magadheera, the Baahubali franchise and the latest Thalaivi and RRR. Last year, Vijayendra’s son Rajamouli, daughter-in-law Rama Rajamouli and other family members had contracted the deadly virus. Thankfully they have all recovered.

We wish the veteran writer a speedy recovery.

Coming back to RRR, the film features Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles. Recently Alia Bhatt too tested positive for Covid-19. Sharing the news of her diagnosis, Alia had posted, “Hello all, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors.”
