Shahid Kapoor CONFIRMS Shooting Of Raj And DK’s Farzi 2 To Begin Soon; Teases, “Baal Katwaye Hain”- Watch

Shahid Kapoor fans are super excited to see the actor as Ustara in Vishal Bhardwaj’s soon-to-release action thriller O’Romeo. While they need to wait for less than a week to see him in this gangster avatar, the actor recently opened up about another one of his much-anticipated projects – Farzi 2.

Released in 2023, the black comedy crime thriller was created, produced, co-written and directed by Raj & DK. The show starred Vijay Sethupathi and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles as well as Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna and Bhuvan Arora. Since its release, fans have been eager to know what’s next in the story of the disillusioned artist who decides to make counterfeit money. Well, Kapoor has shared an update.

Shahid Kapoor Reveals Farzi 2 Shoot To Begin Soon

During yesterday’s O’Romeo song launch event Shahid Kapoor was quizzed about Farzi 2. Answering the question, Kapoor replied, “Ye baal maine Farzi 2 ke liye hi katwaye hain, shooting shuru hone wali hai. (I got this haircut specifically for Farzi 2; the shooting is about to begin.)” Watch the clip here:

If the filming does go on floors soon and the makers will be able to complete the shoot this year, there are high chances the show will release at the end of 2026 or in the first two months of 2027.

About O’Romeo

Written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, O’Romeo is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner. Reportedly based on the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by Hussain Zaidi, the action thriller stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in lead roles. The film also features Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal and Vikrant Massey in pivotal roles. The film will release in theatres this Friday, February 13, 2026, coinciding with Valentine’s Day.
