Actress Soha Ali Khan belongs to a family that needs no introductions. Consisting of several actors, the family has been entertaining the masses for decades now and promise to continue doing so with their third generation stars. During a recent conversation, the actress praised her mother Sharmila Tagore and sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Not only that, Soha also went on to recall how her mother the primary earning member of their household despite her father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, hailing from a wealthy family and being a professional cricketer. Read on to know all she shared.
Soha Ali Khan On Why Mom Sharmila Tagore Was The Family’s Breadwinner
During a recent interaction with Zoom, Soha Ali Khan recalled her mother, Sharmila Tagore managing the family’s finances. She said, “She was the eldest of three sisters and the breadwinner for a very long time. Even after marriage, she was the one earning an income, while my father had inherited wealth and played cricket, but there was no money in cricket back then.”
Expressing admiration for Sharmila’s dedication to her work and her tough love, the actress continued, “I really respect her work ethic. She is blunt about what she feels, and while that may be a bitter pill sometimes, it always comes from a place of love and gives you a reality check.”
During the same conversation, Soha also praised sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor for being a superstar who values her authenticity in today’s overly filtered world. She said, “She is such a huge superstar, yet so comfortable in her own skin. What she chooses to share is real and authentic, and I respect that in today’s hyper-filtered world.”
Soha Ali Khan was last seen playing a negative character in Vishal Furia’s horror thriller Chhorii 2. The film – starring Nushrratt Bharuccha and Gashmeer Mahajan in lead roles, is a sequel to Chhorii, an adaptation of Furia’s 2017 Marathi film Lapachhapi.
