Earlier today, the Supreme Court finally ordered CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. The Apex court’s decision was hailed by the late actor’s family and fans. Several Bollywood celebs also welcomed the SC’s order. Vikas Singh, the family lawyer of Sushant, said that SC’s order is a step towards getting justice in the death case. He also said that the entire family is happy with the decision.

Hours later, Sushant’s family also released an official statement specifically thanking Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar, their well-wishers, the actor’s fans all over the world and media for their support.

The family’s statement was shared by Sushant’s niece Mallika Singh via her Instagram story. The statement read, “We, Sushant’s family thank our friends, well-wishers media and millions of fans worldwide for their love for Sushant and support for us. We are particularly thankful to Shri Nitesh Kumar, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Bihar for setting the wheel of justice in motion. Now that the country’s premier investigating agency has taken over, we believe that all those involved in the dastardly crime will be brought to justice.”

The statement concluded saying, “We believe that public trust in institutions is important. Today’s development has reaffirmed our faith in India as a robust democracy. We love our country more than ever.”

Mallika even shared another post on her Insta story for her Gulshan Mama(Sushant). “Where there is a will, there is a way. Despite all the odds, one significant step. Rest peacefully, Gulshan mama, all of us are here for your justice. Har Har Mahadev #CBITakesOver,” her post reads.

The late actor’s family also thanked their extended family for their constant love and support. Soon after the Supreme Court’s verdict on Rhea Chakraborty’s transfer plea, the late actor’s fans at his hometown in Saharsa were seen rejoicing and welcoming the decision. Some of them even burst crackers as reported by ANI.

The SC in its verdict has asked the Mumbai police to hand over the documents and evidence to CBI and comply with its orders.
