EXCLUSIVE: Esha Deol admits slapping a co-star once: It was the 20-year-old me, now I’m calmer

Fallouts between actors have always been a common thing in the film industry. Some have been ugly while some were very cold. But no matter what, they have always made headlines for their cold war. Speaking of one such incident, there was a time when actors Esha Deol and Amrita Rao got into a heated argument on the sets of Pyare Mohan in 2005. So much so that Esha went on to slap her co-star Amrita on the sets. However, in an interview, Esha mentioned that she doesn’t regret her behaviour towards her.

Nevertheless, years later, Esha was asked the same in the Knock Knock episode of Bollywood Bubble, she said, “What happened shouldn’t have happened so that is why the action happened.” When asked if she actually did it, Esha said, “The 20-year-old Esha did it. But now I’m a patient and I’m sure that person also wouldn’t have done what they did that day.”

For the unversed, back in 2005, after the pack-up, Rao had publicly abused Deol in front of the director Indra Kumar and the cameraman. Esha felt harassed and unhappy about it due to this, she simply slapped Amrita. She even openly spoke about it earlier saying that Amrita was out of line and hence, she raised her hand on her. The Dhoom actor revealed that she slapped her because Amrita was out of line and she totally deserved it.

However, Esha Deol revealed that she forgave Amrita and things are fine between them. Pyare Mohan also stars Vivek Oberoi and Fardeen Khan. The film did not fare well at the box office back in 2005.
