Barbie box office day 1: Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer has a decent opening despite a clash with Oppenheimer

Barbie starring Margot and Ryan Gosling was typed to be one of the highly-anticipated movies of this year. The movie has gathered immense appreciation from fans as it makes them nostalgic about their childhood. As the film got released, its first-day collections looks decent. Barbie earned Rs 5 crore on day 1 at the box office which is a good start. Despite the clash with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, Barbie stood on its ground and minted a decent amount.

Barbie box office collections on Day 1

As per Sacnilk.com, Barbie earned Rs 5 crore nett in India on its first day as per early estimates. Barbie in its advance booking had sold 16,000 tickets across the three multiple chains, PVR and other multiplex chains. As per a report in The Independent, Barbie is estimated to earn $110 million at the US box office during opening weekend. Several Bollywood celebs were even promoting the movie in their own way.

As Barbie clashed with Oppenheimer, the film earned well on the opening day of the box office. Christopher Nolan who is considered to be a prolific director had once again named to impress the audience. Cillian Murphy starrer earned Rs 13.50 crores on day 1. Like Barbie, netizens are also loving Oppenheimer.
