Hollywood’s Oppenheimer and Barbie turned out to be a must watch films. Though the two master blaster projects stood crazily appreciated, they are doing quite well at the box office. Being one of the biggest clash, the screenings for the two are going housefull.

While Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer turned out to be Hollywood’s biggest hits of the year, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie gives a tough competition to the Cillian Murphy starrer.

Oppenheimer Box Office Collection

Day 1 (Friday): 14.50 Crores

Day 2 (Saturday): 17 Crores

Total collection: 31.50 crores.

Post the film’s release, Oppenheimer netted Rs.13.50 crores on its opening day, beating Mission Impossible 7 which has collected Rs. 12.50 crore on its first day. Cillian Murphy starrer Oppenheimer saw a jump on the first weekend on Saturday as it netted Rs. 17 crore across all languages, according to Sacnilk. Given this, the total collection of Oppenheimer stands at Rs.31.50 crores.

Starring Cillian Murphy in the lead role, the film also includes Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon and Rami Malek in pivotal roles. While the hype for the film stood high, the film turned out to be promising in terms of mass entertainer and the box office collection numbers are proof.

Barbie Box Office Collection

Day 1 (Friday): 5 crores

Day 2 (Saturday): 6.50 crores

Total collection: 11.50 crores

The Greta Gerwig film titled Barbie was one of the most anticipated films of the year. Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, the film stood up to the expectations of the audience. Releasing on the same day as Oppenheimer, Barbie gave a decent fight to it.

Barbie netted Rs. 5 crore at the Indian Box office on day 1, decently doing well despite a clash with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. Reportedly, Barbie collected Rs. 6.50 crores at the box office on day two since its release. While the film witnessed a slight rise in its box office numbers, it still struggles to pave its way to beat Oppenheimer.

While the two biggest Hollywood clashes are doing well, the audience are loving the creation. Both stand appreciated for the craft and the appeal it brings on the big screens.
