In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the actress opened up about initially rejecting the reality show, the emotional challenges of participating in it, and how the fame that comes after Bigg Boss also has its own limitations in the entertainment industry. Sumbul Touqeer On Saying Yes To Bigg Boss

Sumbul Touqeer expanded her fan following further with her appearance on Bigg Boss 16. Speaking about what made her agree to participate in the reality show, the actress said, “Kabhi socha nahi tha. Jab call aa bhi raha tha, uss time pe I kept saying no because I was not sure ki if I am a Bigg Boss personality, which till today I don’t believe ki main ek Bigg Boss personality hoon. I am a very different kind of person, and I can’t be fighting for one egg ya petty reasons jinke liye sab ladte hain. Though I also fought for such reasons in the show, it was very difficult. At the end of the day, I used to feel, ‘What the hell are you doing? Yeh reasons ke liye fight nahi honi chahiye.’ But the show is designed in such a wonderful way that it makes you do that.”

Talking about what she gained from the reality show, Sumbul added, “A lot of friends, good, genuine friends. Aur uske alawa money, of course (laughs). Other than that, I think meri joh audience bani wahan se, jin logon ne mujhe as a person pasand karna shuru kiya, those people. Yeh teen cheezein main saath leke aayi.”

Sumbul Touqeer Reflects On Receiving More Opportunities Post Bigg Boss

She further spoke about how participating in Bigg Boss impacts an actor’s career. “Aisa nahi hai ki koi bahar baitha hua hai aapko kaam dene ke liye. But definitely, when you have done Bigg Boss, you are at a very high peak because the show gets massive limelight. But that fame also has a time limit. Jaise hi doosra season shuru hota hai, spotlight shift ho jaati hai. So it’s not like bahut saare offers aa jaate hain. Also, there are some mediums jahan they don’t prefer actors who are very exposed on television. And after doing Bigg Boss, you are completely exposed. So that’s a disadvantage,” the actress concluded.
