Munawar Faruqui, Krystle Dsouza REVEALS Watching Shah Rukh Khan's Mohabbatein And Baazigar On On Pirated CDs

Munawar Faruqui, Krystle Dsouza are all set for their upcoming web show First Copy. In a light-hearted and nostalgic moment, comedian Munawar Faruqui and actress Krystle D’Souza recently revealed that they watched some of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic films — including Mohabbatein and Baazigar on pirated CDs.

Shah Rukh Khan’s early films like Baazigar (1993) and Mohabbatein (2000) had a massive impact on an entire generation — even if watched in less-than-perfect quality. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, when they were asked about their early memories of Bollywood. Without hesitation, both stars admitted that growing up in middle-class households meant limited access to cinema halls or original DVDs. Instead, they relied on pirated CDs — a common practice in many Indian homes during the early 2000s. Munawar said, “Mujhe toh Mohabbatein yaad hai, ghar pe le ke aaye the dad. On the work front, Munawar will be making his debut with the show First Copy. First Copy follows the stories of the 90s, set in Mumbai, a struggling young man joins a film production company but turns to video piracy after facing workplace humiliation. As his illegal empire grows, a determined cop closes in on the operation. The series stars Munawar Faruqui, Gulshan Grover, Meiyang Chang, Saqib Ayub, Krystle D’Souza, Inaamulhaq, Ashi Singh. It has 10 episodes and started streaming on June 20.
