Neha Harsora On Sachin & Sailee Entering Motherhood In Udne Ki Aasha

Talking about Sailee’s life after the leap, Neha says, “It is a completely different phase for Sachin and Sailee. With a child in their lives, there is a new sense of responsibility. We are going to explore a new shade of motherhood and parenthood through them, and I think it is going to be an amazing journey.”

The leap comes after a deeply difficult phase in Sailee’s life. Neha shares that the character has been through emotional turmoil, but the years ahead show her finding a way to move forward. She shared, “Sailee was completely shattered. She felt that she didn’t have a child anymore, and her life had become nothing but a mess because of everything that had happened with the family and the situations around her. But seven years later, we see a different Sailee. She has moved on from the problems she was facing and is living happily with Sachin and their daughter.”

Neha: I Want To Portray Motherhood In A Way That Everybody Can Relate To

For Neha, stepping into Sailee’s journey as a mother also comes with a new challenge as an actor. Since she hasn’t personally experienced motherhood, she is conscious of making the emotions appear natural and believable on screen. She said, “Portraying motherhood will be a little difficult for me because these are emotions and experiences I haven’t lived in my own life. But I will try to give my best. I want to portray it in a way that everybody can relate to and connect with Sailee.”

The actress is also enjoying working with the young actors who have joined the cast for the post-leap track. She revealed, “We have an amazing cast on board, especially the kids. They are really cute, they are very good, and they work really well. It has been lovely having them around.”

Despite the seven-year time jump and the changes in Sachin and Sailee’s lives, Neha is happy that the makers have retained the rooted quality of Udne Ki Aasha. For her, the simplicity of the characters and their world remains one of the show’s strongest elements. She explained, “The simplicity is still there in the show. We haven’t made it too heavy or drastically different. The characters haven’t suddenly become high-class or completely changed. That rooted feeling remains, and I think that is very important.”

As Udne Ki Aasha moves into its post-leap phase, Neha is excited to present a more mature side of Sailee. She concluded, “It is a beautiful journey of Sachin and Sailee. Their lives are different now, there is parenthood and there are new responsibilities. I am excited to portray this phase and give my best to it.”
