EXCLUSIVE: Udne Ki Aasha Fame Neha Harsora Comments On TV Actors Easily Getting Typecast; Says, “In Bollywood, People Expect More Glamour, But Here…”

Actress Neha Harsora is currently winning hearts as Sailee in Udne Ki Aasha. During a recent exclusive interaction, the actress got candid about many things, including why TV actor get easily typecast. From suggesting what could be the reason for the dropping the typecast, she also opened up about how one can break the mould. Read on to know all she had to say.

Neha Harsora On TV Actors Being Typecast

Over the years, Neha Harsora has established herself as a household name with characters representing the quiet strength a woman possesses. When questioned if she feels TV actors easily get typecast, she said, “That is possible. We see them every day; we take an hour to see them, so picking up a new role becomes a challenge since you are pictured in a certain way. But how would you change their perspective until you take up the next show and go on the next OTT platform? Everything depends on the artist, their talent, and their hard work. When I get a good opportunity, people would probably know me as Sailee and what I would be doing at that point of time also.”

Stating that she believes ultimately everything depends on the audience, Neha said, “We try to show what the audience demands. It’s a running business, and people are very much replaceable, be it TV, a movie, or anywhere. And the competition is very high; it’s not like if you have made a name people will only demand you. Say tomorrow if my younger sister comes, people would not want to see me, the same face they have been watching; she will be in demand. So it’s all about what you are showing and what people want.”

Neha Harsora further added, “In Bollywood films, people expect more glamour, but it’s not like on TV; they only want to see Bahurani. I think there they want more glamour, but on TV there is a different kind of demand.”
