Paritosh Tripathi On Super Dancer Being A Career Turning Point

When asked about his career’s turning point, Paritosh Tripathi said, “Super Dancer, mama ji se pehle aur mama ji ke baad zindagi hi doosri hai. Bahut logon ko lagta hai ki Super Dancer mera pehla kaam hai, ki main mama ji ban gaya, maine pita wali kavita sunayi thi — ‘Yeh woh ladka hai.’ 2016 mein Super Dancer aaya. 2009 se main hoon is sheher mein. Saat saal sirf mujhe pata hai aur mere account ko pata hai, meri aankhon ko pata hai. Yahi hai na?”

He added, “Toh saat saal toh sirf maine akele dekha hai na. Kitne shows kiye — ek din ka kaam, do din ka kaam, kahin sirf khade rehne ka. Toh Super Dancer ne sab jod ke de diya ki, ‘Lo bhai, tumhara saat saal ka ho gaya. Khush?’ Aur aage kai saalon ke liye de diya. Super Dancer is my rebirth as an actor.”

Paritosh On Facing Rejections

Speaking about rejections, the comedian said, “Bahut, bahut. Matlab ek bahut bada show tha, jismein mera mann tha ki main iska hissa ban gaya toh mera maamla palat jaayega. 2013 mein main us show mein select hua. Mujhe sign kiya gaya, signing amount diya gaya. Usse humne mobile kharida, pehli baar mehenga phone, Rs 11,000 ka mobile us zamaane mein. Aur usi pe message aaya ki, ‘Tum nahi kar rahe ho yeh show.’ Toh main sunn ho gaya. Main Comedy Circus ki baat kar raha hoon. Comedy Circus mein main select hua tha aur humein partner diye gaye, ek bahut top-kism ke artist. Unka kuch dates ka aur kuch visa ka problem hua, toh sab kuch aisa bikhar gaya.”

He added, “Yeh 2012 ya 2013 ki baat hai. Main ek jagah Mhada mein rehta tha aur Malad mein… Dono ke beech mein achha-khaasa distance hai. Toh main Mhada se Malad tak rota hua hi gaya. Main sunn ho gaya tha. Do-teen din tak main disturbed tha ki, ‘Arre, aisa kaise hota hai? Aapka plan bhi nahi hai koi ki yahi hai. Hum ab ismein nahi ho rahe, toh main karunga kya?’ Yahi toh karna tha humko. Toh, aur baap re! Matlab laga ki duniya ujad gayi, khatam. Kya karein? Main itna ro raha tha. Main akela rehta tha, toh mujhe chup karane wala bhi koi nahi tha. Toh main thak ke chup hota tha aur bhookh lagti toh khana hi bana raha tha. Phir wapas gaane laga, phir rota tha.”

Paritosh On Becoming Highest Paid Performer

The comedian concluded, “Toh ab toh mazaak lagta hai. Jin gaanon pe roya karta tha, un gaanon pe ab hansi aati hai. Us waqt toh pyaar sachcha tha na. Toh mera woh… woh trauma sa ho gaya tha. Phir main kisi aur kaam mein lag gaya, kuch aur karne laga. 2018 mein woh show wapas aaya aur tab tak main as an actor bahut famous ho gaya tha, Super Dancer se notice ho gaya tha. Toh mujhe us show mein liya gaya aur main highest-paid tha. Tike raho, tike raho, tike raho.”
