Pooja Bhatt on people asking her about her marriage

First, befriend yourself and understand who you are only then can you be a friend to somebody else, a lover to somebody else, a wife or a mother or anyone to somebody else. I think that’s also something that we have forgotten to do as women. We kind of so used to nurturing the world that we stopped nurturing ourselves. I think that we need to step back and nurture ourselves.

People still ask me why are you not married. Why are you single? I said did I ask you why you’re still married? Don’t ask me why I’m still single. It’s as simple as that. When I got married, people had problems, when I ended my marriage, people still had problems and now that I’m single, people still have problems. This will always be there. The world will always have a problem and that’s okay,” The Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin actor told us.

Pooja Bhatt on celebrating diversity

The Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant said, “But we have to tell our young ladies that the fact that they’re all sitting here and they all look different from one another. They’re all distinct personalities. Even though they are wearing uniforms, their personalities just came out and that’s what they worked so hard to achieve. My point is that let’s celebrate the diversity of our caste in our great nation. I mean women don’t have to be the same. Our choices don’t have to be the same and our likes do not have to be the same. We don’t have to dislike the same thing. But what bonds us together is the fact that we have to deal with the same biases on different levels day after day. It’s up to us to decide whether we want to perpetuate them or we want to demystify them, it’s simple.
