Rajat Bedi was recently seen in Aryan Khan’s Ba***ds of Bollywood, which was produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies. Rajat calls entering SRK’s Mannat the same as entering Buckingham Palace in the UK. Scroll down to read what he said and watch the full interview.
Rajat Bedi REACTS To Shah Rukh, Aryan Khan’s VIRAL Ba***ds Of Bollywood BTS Reel
During the chat, we asked Rajat about SRK and Aryan launching India’s first-ever secret feature partnership with Meta and his character name being the password. For the unversed, the makers recently released a reel, wherein after scanning a code and entering Jaraj as the password, fans get a glimpse of the BTS shenanigans of Ba***ds Of Bollywood. Reacting to his name being used, Bedi said, “So fortunate! Nahi, can you imagine, ‘Shah Rukh sir, love you, thank you!’”
Rajat On SRK Calling Him Tiger
Speaking of the story behind SRK calling him Tiger, the Koi Mil Gaya actor recalled, “Ya, toh Shah Rukh sir, kyunki wahan set (referring to Zamaana Deewana) pe do Rajat hua karte the. Joh senior associate director tha, Rajat Ravel, was Rahul Rawel’s nephew. He’s also done a lot of films as a director later. Toh wahan, jab koi Rajat bolte the na, hum log dono bhaag kar aate the. So, they’re from there, Shah Rukh sir said, ‘See, I’m going to call you Tiger.’ And he still calls Tiger. He still calls me Tiger.
He added, “And I love the fact that he calls me Tiger. Kyunki jab unke Mannat mein bhi the, jab pehla preview hua, toh friends aur family aaye the, toh Shah Rukh sir was like, ‘Welcome everyone to the house.’ And before the pre-preview started, he started talking about all the characters, thanking Bobby and Karan and then he spoke about me, ‘Tiger is also here, Tiger did this’. I was very touched by it, because it’s like mera bachcha hai. Pet name mera Tiger hai.”
Rajat Bedi On Mannat
When asked what it is like going to Mannat, the actor said, “Uff… Mannat is an experience. It’s like going into Buckingham Palace. Ek toh aapko poori duniya ko lagta hai woh Mannat ka entry, woh aage wala main road ka gate hai. Nahi, Mannat ka entry side se, upar jao. Upar se, peeche se entry hai. Toh actual entry woh exit hai. Gadiyon ki exit hai Mannat ki. Mannat ka jahaan pe lagta hai na, jahaan pe Shah Rukh aakar sabko greet karne aate hai. So actually, that’s the exit gate of Mannat. But wohi Mannat is like a guarded fort. Jaise aapko airport ke andar jaana padta hai through scanners, Mannat mein bhi woh scanners lage hue hain. Toh, security is very tight, very high. But it’s a feeling, getting into Mannat. It’s like actually going into Buckingham Palace.”
