Sharad Malhotra Opens Up On Choosing Fewer Projects Leading To Long Breaks

Opening up about fans expressing disappointment over his nearly six-month-long absence from the screen and urging his return, Sharad Malhotra said, “Fans have been very, very supportive. They’ve asked me that aapke bohot mood swings hote hai. Aap aake suddenly gayab ho jate hai 6 mahine ke liye. So I think, theek hai. Even I want my me-time. That’s the only complaint people have that you’re just coming to disappear. Ek project ke baad teen-chaar-paanch mahine ekdum gayab. But no, I’ll try and be regular now. “

Further hinting at upcoming projects, he added, “I’m meeting a lot of interesting people. I’m reading good scripts. It also excites me. I can not see a person’s face every day unless I’m excited. Likewise, I have to read something that excites me. Agar main usmein ghus raha hu, toh mujhe everyday usi excitement se ghusna padega. Toh utna exciting hona chaiye. The script, the content, the people, everybody. Hum roz set pe jaaye toh utne interesting chehre ho yaar ki baith ke baat-waat kar rahe hai. Fortunately, I have very good, interesting projects and I hope they turn out well.”

Sharad Malhotra Says He Would Love To Participate In Laughter Chefs

When asked about plans on doing a reality show, Sharad said, “I think last time humari baat Hui thi. They’re very real. They’re too real. When they bite you, it hurts the most. Woh Kai baar aisa hota hai na ki yaar main reel mein bohot khush hu. Because reel is more about characters, where I can make my own characters. Real is about, just non-filtered absolutely. You know, you have to be just there and react. That’s something I’m not comfortable around. I’m a very private person. I want my characters to talk. I think that’s what I’ve been. Again, as they say, ‘Never say never’. Kuch interesting reality show aata hai agar toh I’ll definitely see.”

Reacting to whether he would consider doing a show like Pati Patni Aur Panga, Sharad shared, “Nahi, naam hi aisa bhai mujhe nahi jaana yaar(laughs). Jahan panga hota hai main bohot dur bhaag jaata hu.”

Further speaking about the possibility of accepting shows like Laughter chefs, he shared, “I like to eat. I’m a foodie. Mujhe bohot pasand hai khaana. Mujhe khana pasand hai aur koi banaye bohot pyaar se mujhe woh bhi pasand hai.” Expressing his love for food, Sharad continued, “I obviously love to try different cuisines. Laughter chefs jaisa koi show ho na cookery-based toh I think I would love to try. Jahan khana dikhte rahe bas.”
