Space Gen: Chandrayaan

TVF’s Space Gen: Chandrayaan, a 2026 Indian television series created by Arunabh Kumar, is based on India’s Chandrayaan lunar exploration programme. The series dramatizes the period between the failure of the Chandrayaan-2 mission in 2019 and the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3.

During an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the cast of the series shared their perspectives on the lives of scientists, along with the unacknowledged power of women. Scroll down to read what they said.

Space Gen: Chandrayaan’s Cast Reflects On The Lives Of Scientists

Nakuul Mehta, popularly known for shows like Ishqbaaaz and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, when asked about his perspective on scientists’ lives, said, “I don’t know how many of us really consider them heroes. Sometimes it’s an occasion like this (Chandrayaan) when the whole country looks up to them and says, ‘Wow, we’ve achieved’. Logo ko nahi pata ki humare scientists kin paristhitiyon mein, COVID ke dauran bhi kaam kar rahe the. Aasan nahi hai yeh. Imagine the disappointment of Chandrayan 2, plus you’re going through COVID ki pata nahi aage zindagi bachegi ki nahi. Aur hum soch rahe hai ki hum chaand par jaa rahe hai.”

Supporting his remark, Shriya Saran, one of the cast members, added to this, saying, “Aap (scientists) us level par kaam kar rahe hai. That’s remarkable.”

Speaking in the same conversation, Danish Sait said, “These are such great heroes, but they are such simple people who do extraordinary things.”

Shriya Saran On Women Scientists

Talking about women scientists, Shriya said, “Main jab bhi launch ke videos dekhti hu toh it’s very interesting ki har ek picture aur video mein you see these beautiful women in sarees, gajras, aur mujhe lagta hai unko represent karna bohot zaruri tha. So it’s a very beautifully written story. Jo yeh kahani hai, jaise Nakuul ne kaha vo logo tak pohchana bohot zaruri tha.”
