EXCLUSIVE: Swara Bhasker Reveals Salman Khan Turned Mentor And Helped Her Become A Bollywood Heroine On Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Set; Recalls, “He Was So Invested”

Swara Bhasker recalled Salman Khan giving her a tutorial on becoming a female lead in films. During an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actress revealed how they spent a day on the sets of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with Khan being involved to teach her how to enter and smile. Swara Bhasker On Working With Salman Khan In Prem Ratan Dhan Payo

When asked if Salman Khan ever asked her not to tweet about their upcoming film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Swara Bhasker said, “Nahi, woh toh nahi bolte, woh baad mein bolte hain, ‘Kar diya phir tumne kaand!’ Bola unhone kabhi ki tweet mat kiya karo ye sab? Haan, bola toh hai. Unhone kaha, ‘Tumne toh apne career mein khud hi aag laga li!'”

She continued, “He is very nice, he is very kind to me, Salman sir. Aur mujhe yaad hai ek bada pyara conversation Prem Ratan ke time ka. Main baithi thi, aur question-answer chal raha tha. Toh kehte, ‘Yaar, badi achhi baat hai. Tumne toh ye film kar li, ab toh tumhe bahut kaam milega.’ Toh maine kaha, ‘Haan sir, kaam toh milega, lekin mujhe toh heroine wala kaam chahiye na, kaam heroine wala milna chahiye.’ Toh unhone mujhe aise dekha aur bole, ‘Tum heroine banna chahti ho?’ Maine kaha, ‘Haan, kya hua?'”

Swara Reveals Salman Khan Gave Her A Tutorial To Become A Lead

Continuing, the actress said, “Kya har aadmi zindagi bhar supporting roles karna chahta hai kya? Har actor ke andar wo laalsa toh hoti hi hai. Toh bole, ‘Acha, tum heroine banna chahti ho? Toh sabse pehle tum ye ladkon wali harkatein karna band karo, theek hai?’ Phir unhone mujhe proper ek tutorial diya, ‘Heroine kaise bante hain.’ Aur bole, ‘Apne baal-thaal theek karo, entry pe dhyaan do, thoda smile karo, thoda kam — haan, ye wali smile achhi hai tumhari.’ Main boli, ‘Aww, how sweet!’ Mujhe bahut khushi hui. Mujhe laga, arre, he’s like so invested!”

The Raanjhanaa fame recalled, “Phir poore shoot ke dauran mujhe bolte rehte the, ‘Itna smile bataya tha tumko, utna hi karo!’ Salman sir has been very kind to me. Salman sir wo hain jo dil mein hai, wo bol dete hain — very real, very straightforward. Aisa nahi hai ki hum bahut zyada milte hain, lekin main Fahad ko milane le gayi thi unse, kuch mahine pehle. Fahad toh unko dekh ke itne khush ho gaye. Mujhe bahar hi chhod diya aur khud andar chala gaya, ‘Hello! I’m Fahad Ahmed!’ Main boli, ‘Sir, mera pati hai, ye aadmi jo mujhe bahar chhod ke andar bhaag gaya hai, ye mera husband hai!’ Sir was very kind to us also, bilkul bade pyaar se host kiya, khana khilaya. It was very sweet.”

Swara Reveals If She And Salman Are Still In Touch

When asked if Salman and she are in touch or they meet, the actress replied, “Nahi, touch mein kya rehte hain? Nahi, matlab main milti hoon agar mujhe jaana ho, milna ho. Matlab on and off touch mein rehte hain. Abhi pichhle kuch time se main not in touch rahi hoon.”

Salman Khan and Swara Bhasker have worked together in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo(2015). In this film, Swara Bhaskar played the supporting role of Princess Chandrika, the younger sister of Salman Khan (Prem/Yuvraj Vijay Singh).
