Kashyap Shangari Tamannaah Bhatia O'Romeo

Vishal Bhardwaj’s gritty crime drama O’ Romeo has been loved by the public. Starring Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar and Avinash Tiwary, in lead roles, the film has amassed over Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office. As fans continue to head to theatres to watch the action-packed gangster romance, Kashyap Shangari – who essayed the role of Mohsin in the film, has opened up about his experience working with ‘Rabia’ Tamannaah Bhatia.

For the unversed, Kashyap – who played the role of Jalal’s (Avinash Tiwary) younger brother had a relatively small role in the actioner, however, he did manage to leave an impact. During an exclusive interaction with Bollywood Bubble, Shangari described his collaboration with Tamannaah as a masterclass in emotional composure and technical rhythm. Reflecting on their time on set, Kashyap Shangari noted that Tamannaah Bhatia’s preparation extends beyond the dialogue, involving a deep awareness of the physical and emotional tempo of a scene. He shared, “Tamannaah has a quiet sense of control both emotionally and technically. She’s deeply aware of her rhythm, her breath, her silences. That precision grounded me.” He added, “In emotionally intense scenes, it’s easy to get carried away, but her composure created a space where I could remain present and truthful.”

For Shangari, the effectiveness of their performance was rooted in an unspoken professional bond. He emphasized that their dynamic was not forced but allowed to evolve naturally in the moment, a rarity in high-pressure film environments. He stated, “There was an unspoken trust in our dynamic, and that allowed the scenes to breathe. It felt collaborative in the most organic way ie. two actors meeting in the moment and letting the emotion unfold naturally.”
