When asked if there is any meme which he finds relatable, Tusshar Kapoor said, “I love the Golmaal meme — you know, the countdown wala meme. Woh mujhe bahut achha laga because Golmaal Returns maine 2008 mein ki thi, aur I think maine woh meme 2023 ya 2024 mein dekha. Woh bahut viral ho gaya tha. All my friends in the gym were showing it to me.”

He continued, “So, I felt like, ‘Oh my God!’ At that point in time, people saw it casually. Lekin ab naye logon ke beech I think woh ek trend sa ban gaya hai. Agar kisi se kaam karwana ho ya kisi ka stress door karna ho, toh usse usi tareeke se bola jaata hai. And in this online culture, in the whole digital era, to have your work being showcased in such a manner. Even if it’s a meme, I think it’s a huge feather in my cap.”

In the Golmaal franchise directed by Rohit Shetty, Tusshar Kapoor plays Lucky. He is a character who cannot speak and communicates entirely through hilarious gestures and gibberish sounds. The internet has widely adapted these scenes into meme templates for moments. Even when words fail, or when you just have to give up on trying to make sense of a situation.
