Vartika Singh is winning praise and attention after the success of her recent film HAQ, where she stars alongside Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam. While the excitement around her performance continues to grow, Vartika remains grounded and grateful for the opportunities coming her way.

When asked whether she felt any pressure while working with such well-established actors, Vartika explained that it wasn’t about proving herself but about responsibility. She shared with Bollywood Bubble, “Not really ‘prove,’ but of course you feel that sense of responsibility. It’s your first film, you don’t want to be the weak link. But what helped was how the team treated me. Nobody made me feel like I had to earn my right to be there. Once the camera rolls, you’re just another actor, and that eases everything.”
Vartika also addressed the ongoing conversation around Bollywood being accused of gatekeeping, especially for actors who don’t belong to film families. She acknowledged the reality but believes in focusing on her journey instead of the barriers. She said, “I mean… yes. You can’t pretend it doesn’t exist. But I also don’t walk around feeling victimised by it. I knew I’d have to work harder, wait longer, and maybe swallow more rejections. But I also knew I wanted to do this with my own identity. So if the doors opened slowly, fine. At least I’ll know I walked in because of my work.”
With a promising future ahead, Vartika Singh is ready to grow, learn, and take on more meaningful roles. Her honesty, confidence, and clarity make it clear she is here to stay.
