Dulquer Salmaan took to social media to reveal that his upcoming Malayalam thriller Kurup, will hit the silver screens on November 12. The actor also released new posters in four languages namely, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. For the unversed, Kurup’s release was postponed multiple times due to the covid-19 pandemic. The crime thriller was earlier slated to release in theatres on May 28. Meanwhile, there were rumours about the film opting for an OTT release. But Salmaan’s new announcement has squashed all the rumours.

Sharing the posters and Kurup release date, Dulquer wrote, “At last, we are ready to set Kurup free. The film always had a destiny if it’s own. And I knew it wouldn’t come out till the time. Conning Soon. In cinemas near you, November 12th! (sic).”

Speaking of the drama, the same is directed by Srinath Rajendran, The film, which is backed by Dulquer Salmaan under his home banner Wayfarer Films is jointly produced with M-Star Entertainments. The crime thriller is based on the life of the fugitive Sukumara Kurup, who is Kerala’s most-wanted criminal.

The film’s story is jointly written by KS Aravind, Jithin K Jose and Daniell Sayooj Nair. The film stars producer Dulquer, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Sobhita Dhulipala and Bharath Srinivasan in key roles. The drama was shot in several places including Kerala, Mumbai, Dubai, Mangalore, Mysore, and Ahmedabad.
