Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt starrer RRR release delayed as cinema halls remain shut

The film ‘RRR’, directed by Baahubali director, filmmaker SS Rajamouli has been hitting headlines since its inception. RRR’s stellar cast including Ram Charan, JR NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn has given the audience every reason to be excited about the release of the film. While the audience and fans are eagerly waiting for the movie release, the makers shared an update with everyone on Twitter. The makers of RRR issued a statement and shared information regarding the release of the film. 

Taking to Twitter, the makers shared that film RRR will not release on its scheduled date. On September 11, the makers confirmed that, while the post-production work is almost done, and the film will be ready on October 13, there will be a delay in the release. However, the makers informed that they have decided to delay the release of RRR as theatres continue to remain close.

The official Twitter handle of RRRMovies tweeted, “Post production nearly done to have #RRRMovie ready by October’21. But as known to many, we are postponing the release but cannot announce a new date with theatres indefinitely closed. We will release at the earliest possible date when the world cinema markets are up and running (sic).”

Ram Charan and Jr NTR returned to Hyderabad after shooting for RRR in Ukraine. The makers shared a picture featuring the cast and crew of RRR on their official Instagram handle. 

RRR is set in the pre-independence era and narrates the fictional tale of two Indian freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharama Raju. Jr NTR and Ram Charan play lead roles.
