Bollywood’s original bad boy actor Sanjay Dutt, will soon be released from  Pune’s Yerwada jail. It has been confirmed by the State Authorities that the actor will walk free on February 25.  The actor who had been  serving a five-year term for alleged possession of arms, during 1993 Mumbai Blasts,  is being  released due to his good behaviour and participation in extra-curricular activities within the jail premises.

Rumours of Sanjay soon walking out a free man,  have been abounding in Bollywood since long. Lately, there were speculations that he will be released on February 27 as he had extended his parole by two days. On further enquiry, it was revealed that it was not the actors fault but mismanagement on the part of Jail Authorities that caused the delay. Therefore, the Maharashtra Government has decided to let go of him earlier.

Sanjay Dutt was awarded 5-year term as per which his stay in Jail was to be of around 60 months. But he had already spent 18 months in jail. Because of his good behaviour and extra-curricular activities, the authorities granted him remission of 7 days per month, along with it was allowed 28 days of furlough every year.   So the actor has spent around 756 days within the jail.

News of Sanju Baba as he lovingly known in Bollywood circles release was welcomed by his Bollywood friends. They have already set their plans into motion of casting the lovable Munna Bhai in their upcoming releases.
