Bollywood actress Vidya Balan launched a unique charity initiative in Melbourne. The ‘Kahani’ actress who is also the face of the Indian Film Festival that is held in Melbourne every year, launched the ‘Train the Trainers’ campaign here. The initiative was taken in collaboration with La Trobe University in Melbourne along with the support of the Victorian Government.

The theme at the Indian Film Festival this year was that of women empowerment and spreading the message of education. Speaking at the launch Vidya revealed that it will bring together specialists and teachers from Australia and India with a motive of working together to help and support each other in fostering the growth of education here too.

‘The Train the Trainers’ campaign will be focusing on people and children with special needs, the initiative aims to provide assistance and education to all and have a few seats reserved for them in all educational institutions. Considering its collaboration, some of the professionals will be flying down to India to provide help for these children in the country.

Vidya Balan will soon be seen in the sequel to the 2012 film ‘Kahaani’ that is being directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Ghosh and Jayantilal Gada. The film also stars Arjun Rampal in a pivotal role.
