As per a report in a daily, Zee Music, who has the music rights of the film, is planning a few city tours with the cast.

Shahid plays the role of a rockstar in the movie and the team wants the actor to take up his onscreen role in real life as well, and perform at several concerts to be held around the nation.

The marketing head of Zee Music, Kirthi Rai, said, “Yes we are planning a few music activities with the lead actors across a few cities to promote the music of the film.”

However, there is a buzz that Shahid won’t be a part of the promotions as he wants to be with his pregnant wife, Mira Rajput.

Apparently, the spokesperson of the actor said that he won’t be available for the tour when ‘Udta Punjab’ team approached him.

Aman Gill, the CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures denied this reports and said, “It’s absolutely baseless. In fact, Shahid has been there for all the promotional activities across and continues to promote as we speak. Unlike other films, with ‘Udta Punjab’, we are being very selective with the GEC shows that we visit, owing to the content of the film.”

The movie which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh releases on June 17.
