Samay Raina RJ Mahvash India’s Got Latent Season 2

Comedian Samay Raina is gearing up to bring back his popular show India’s Got Latent with a second season. The announcement comes after a year of controversy surrounding the show’s first season. Now, comedian and radio personality RJ Mahvash has confirmed that she will be joining the upcoming season as one of the guest appearances. The update has renewed interest in the show as it prepares for its return.

RJ Mahvash Confirms Season 2 Appearance At Samay Raina’s Show

In a conversation on a podcast with Pinkvilla, RJ Mahvash shared how she was personally invited by Samay Raina to be part of the new season. She said, “When we were shooting for a show, Samay asked me if I would attend the next season of his comedy talent show. And I told him I would definitely come for the show. I was watching it from the third spectacle. I had spoken to Ranveer (Allahbadia).”

She further spoke about her support for Samay and others involved in the show despite past criticism. She added, “I didn’t know them on a personal level. For me, Ranveer, Ashish and all of them were big people. So I called them for the trailer launch, and they all showed up. And so for me, that is real friendship. However wrong they will be, I will still support them. I agree that they were wrong, but humans do make mistakes. So let’s not roast them further. Since I know them as humans, they are great guys. They never cross their line and disrespect others.”

Controversy Around India’s Got Latent

In February last year, India’s Got Latent came under heavy scrutiny after a remark made by Ranveer Allahbadia during an episode triggered widespread backlash. The episode also featured Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani as guest panellists.

The controversy led to multiple FIRs being filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani. Following the backlash, Samay Raina removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube.

Recently, Samay returned with a comedy special where he spoke about experiencing anxiety due to the controversy. He also confirmed plans for a new season of the show. Recently, Samay and Ranveer also reunited publicly on The Great Indian Kapil Show, which streamed on Netflix, marking their first joint appearance after the incident.

RJ Mahvash, meanwhile, is preparing for her upcoming show Satrangi: Badle Ka Khel, directed by Jai Basantu Singh. The series stars Kumud Mishra and Anshumaan Pushkar and is set to release on ZEE5 on May 22.
