Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor

Just yesterday we witnessed the poster and motion poster of Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor’s ‘Half Girlfriend’ and we were in a complete awe of it. Shraddha and Arjun’s sparkling chemistry has surely got us excited for the film. By now, we have some idea about their characters in the film.

Shraddha is high-society girl while Arjun is a vernac from Bihar. The only common thing between them is basketball. Both of them essay the characters who are champions in the sport of basketball. Mohit Suri, the director of the film, has made sure that Shraddha and Arjun do enact their roles properly and hence, he made them train with the team of NBA  experts. Not just that, to get the perfect feel, he even shot a few scenes at Brooklyn Bridge Park in New York, where most of the BA sessions take place.

An insider informed a leading daily, “It’s a famous basketball court in New York which is located in close proximity of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Most NBA practice sessions take place here. Plus it is also open to basketball enthusiast who come by and watch the sport. The makers were sure that they wanted to shoot key portions there as it added to the sequence.”

Also, in order to capture the true essence of New York, the makers opted for guerrilla style of shooting. Though it was difficult for the makers to obtain permission for the shooting, Mohit Suri was quoted by the same daily saying, “However, the authorities were cooperative and granted us the necessary permits also NBA helped us with the same. We in fact shot a lot of sequences in guerrilla style so that we can capture the vibe of the city and stay as real to surroundings.”

Here’s a picture of Shraddha and Arjun from Brooklyn Bridge Park.
