He also mentioned that everyone can’t get merit and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Talking about the same, at an event for SIIMA, the Baahubali actor said, “Each one is entitled to their opinion. You might like a film and I might like something else. It’s the same with artists. It’s not about the person. Many thought that story [Jai Bhim] would bag awards. But, it didn’t. It’s not about why the other person won it. It’s never a controversy. They might have just shared a tweet, but there are people who make it a controversy. Amongst us, nothing is a controversy. Everybody can’t get the merit.”

Vishal on National Award selection

Not just Jai Bhim, Tamil films like Karnan and Sarpatta Parambhai were also snubbed at the National Awards jury selection. Commenting on the same, Vishal told Deccan Chronicle, “I don’t trust them at all. The greatest award is given by all the people to the artist’s performance after watching the film. An honest award is the judgment given by the audience.

The Enemy actor further said, “With the blessings of the audience, I have sustained my career in the film industry for many years, which is a significant award for me. Even if I receive awards for the films I have acted in, I would throw them in the trash.

Earlier, even Nani was heartbroken when Jai Bhim didn’t win any award. He took to his Instagram stories and wrote Jai Bhim with a broken heart emoji. Apart from Pushpa, the RRR team, music composer DSP, MM Keeravani and others have also bagged the National Awards.
