Dance Deewane 3: Madhuri Dixit gets ’emotional’ recalling memories with her ‘Guru’ Saroj Khan; Watch Video
Madhuri Dixit and late Saroj Khan shared a ‘special bond,’ which cannot be put into words. Recently, Madhuri was moved to tears as she recalled memories with the late choreographer on Dance Deewane 3 sets. Madhuri Dixit revealed how Saroj Khan scolded her once, and how she was the pillar of her strength. Madhuri got nostalgic after two contestants gave a heartfelt tribute to her and late Saroj ji as they danced on ‘Tabah ho Gaye.’
While Madhuri was mighty impressed with the performance, she took down the memory lane to share memories with Saroj ji. When host Bharti Singh asked Madhuri Dixit if Saroj Khan ji ever scolded her, the actress shared about an incident. “Yes, I’ve been scolded by her. Once she scolded me for crying after my director had scolded me. She said, ‘Why are you crying? Don’t ever cry in life.’ I miss her a lot,” Madhuri said. She also added that Saroj ji gave her a lot of strength on the sets.
The actress got emotional as she talked about the bond they shared. “Our relationship was different. I considered her as my Guru. I have learnt a lot from her, be it expression, movements, grace, how to look presentable or dance in front of the camera,” Madhuri added.

The Dhak Dhak girl also called late Saroj ji as an embodiment of female empowerment. Madhuri Dixit shared that when Saroj Khan ji started her career, she established herself as ‘Masterji’, at a time when the industry was dominated by male choreographers.
Meanwhile, Tabah ho Gaye, was Saroj ji’s last partnership with Madhuri before her unfortunate demise. The duo together gave some iconic dance numbers like Ek Do Teen to Tamma Tamma Loge, Dhak Dhak Karne Laga and Dola Re Dola. Saroj Khan passed away last year due to a cardiac arrest.
