Ishita Dixit Opens Up About Being Body Shamed & How Women’s Portrayal In TV Is Now Changing
While talking about the changes she’s seen as an actress, Ishita Dixit revealed that her journey wasn’t always easy. Remebering her hard times – filled with comments that really affected her early in her career, the actress shared, “As an actress, of course, there was a time when I personally heard body-shaming comments, and surprisingly, they came from another woman. That made me feel sad, because I believe women should support each other rather than bring each other down.”
The young actress said such experiences made her reflect on a common stereotype often repeated in society. She said, “I sometimes wonder why people say that women are each other’s enemies. In reality, there are many wonderful women who care for and support one another.”
Despite those challenges, Ishita says she has grown stronger with time. She admitted that body shaming was something she had to deal with during her journey in the entertainment industry. “Yes, I have faced body shaming during my journey as an actor. But over time, I have learned not to let such things affect me anymore,” she said, making it clear that confidence and self-belief have helped her move forward.
