Dilip Joshi has reacted to the reports claiming that his life was under threat. The Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor assured fans that there’s no truth in the rumours.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Dilip Joshi recently grabbed attention after it was reported that someone called the police saying that his house was surrounded by men with ‘weapons and guns’. The actor has now reacted to the news. The Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor made it clear that there’s no truth in the rumour.

Dilip reacts to reports that his life was under threat

Speaking with Hindustan Times, Dilip Joshi said, “The news is fake. Aisa kuch nahi hua. I don’t know where it started and how. This news has been in circulation for two days and I was astonished to hear it.”

Dilip added, “Bhala ho uska jisne yeh galat khabar falai. Mujhe itne logon ke phone aaye mera haal chaal puchne ke liye (May God bless the person who spread this news. I received calls from so many people to inquire about my well-being) So many old friends and extended family called. It was good catching up with them (laughs) Due to this, I found out how many people love me. So many people were worried about me and my family, it was heartening.”

It was recently reported that an unknown caller claimed that Dilip Joshi is under threat. It was said that 25 armed men have surrounded his house. According to India Today report, Nagpur Control Room received a call from unknown person who claimed that the actor’s house is surrounded by armed men.

The report further added that this was the same caller who earlier warned about bombs being planted at Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani and Dharmendra’s residences. Reportedly, the police tracked unknown caller’s number and it was later revealed that it belonged to a boy who works in a SIM card company in Delhi. In his defence, the boy said that the call was made using his number with a special app. The police is looking into the matter.

Dilip is popularly known for playing the role of Jethalal Gada in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. A few days ago, he attended his co-star Sachin Shroff’s wedding along with Munmun Dutta and others. Sachin replaced Shailesh Lodha as Taarak Mehta in the show.
