Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh set the ramp ablaze as they close ICW 2017

The quirky Alauddin Khilji

Ranveer Singh looked quite different from his usual wacky avatars, and he carried off his royal ‘Alauddin Khilji’ avatar perfectly in midnight blue layered sherwani with embroidery (of course with his dose of quirkiness). The star clubbed it with patterned straight fit grey pants and black shimmery mojaris that rounded his look out. He walked in like he owned the place by blowing away kisses to those seated in the audience. We are drooling over his bearded look and king-inspired hairstyle.

All things dreamy and princess-y

On the other hand, Alia looked like a modern-day princess as she took to the ramp in a floor sweeping gown, with an embellished sheer panel illusion top that had a plunging neckline and a brown tiered skirt with matching floral appliqués. A veil pinned above the low bun, an endless rosy trail and bright red lips added glamour to her ensemble. Well-defined eyebrows and subtle eyeliner was all she needed to ooze oomph.

Shimmering cascades

Alia’s outfit had a lot of embroidery, pearl work, zari, lace, tulle. And look at all that flare drama! The designer has ensured that there are cages under the skirt so that she could walk comfortably.

The dynamic trio

Manish Malhotra’s collection titled "Sensual Affair” was all about sexiness and was filled with truckloads of glitz and glamour. On asking why he chose Alia and Ranveer, he said, "I didn't want to do the quintessential bridal collection. Of course, it was for cocktail, sangeet and reception. When you think of young and being different, you think of these two names (Alia, Ranveer) who are eclectic, fabulous and talented."
