Her modelling days

Before becoming an actress, Deepika Padukone was a model and also a Kingfisher calendar girl. The above picture is from her modelling phase where you see her looking quite ordinary. Those thin brows, over-the-top glossy makeup, give an overall garish appearance. Quite amateurish, which did not impress us at all. Little did we know that Deepika would metamorphosise into a makeup pro, few years later.

2007

This was the year when Deepika entered the film industry with her debut film 'Om Shanti Om', opposite SRK. Simplicity was the key for the actress, where she charmed all with her thin brows, long hair and that appealing smile.

2008-2011

From 'Bachna Ae Haseeno', 'Love Aaj Kal' to 'Desi Boyz', this time period saw Deepika all decked up on screen. She now knew how to be in sync with style and that's why we saw her straight long hair been converted into soft wavy ones.

2012

This was the year when we saw Deepika playing the role of an impulsive party-girl as Veronica in 'Cocktail'. During this time, the actress stuck to natural makeup most of the time, but we saw a great experimentation of hairstyles from her end. Loose waves, ponytails, braids; she tried them all.

2013

After a gap of almost a year, Deepika started to experiment a bit more. 2013 was the year that began Deepika’s love affair with lipsticks. From berry red to soft nudes, the actress looked amazing in every hue.

2014

Deepika Padukone is not at all a trend-follower but a trend-setter for sure, which she proved in 2014. Her pouts got darker, whilst the brows turned fiercer and more defined. On her hair part, Deepika preferred classic buns and chic updos during this time.

2015

This was the year were Deepika chose the theme Versatility. While at one time you would spot her flashing rosy cheeks and boho waves, the next time, she would be drooling you with an intense cat eye and braided masterpiece. Wow!

2016

During this year, ponytails and dewy skin was on Deepika's mind. But, as always she made it a point to add a oomph factor to her look, for which the actress often paired her look with a bright pop of lipstick.

2017

The year saw her making it big in the West, with her fierce Cannes 2017 debut, Hollywood debut alongside none other than Vin Diesel, and also been listed among the top 100 hot women in the world (by Maxim), she's slaying it. During this ongoing year, seems as though Deepika has chosen to play around with eyeshadows. From burgundy eyes to emerald ones, the actress has stolen the spotlight with every look.
