Alia Bhatt’s father Mahesh Bhatt is ‘alright’ reveals son Rahul as filmmaker undergoes heart surgery

Veteran director and Alia Bhatt’s father Mahesh Bhatt underwent heart surgery earlier this week. The filmmaker was taken to the hospital for a routine check-up. Bhatt was suggested heart surgery by the doctors following his check-up. The surgery was conducted by the doctors four days ago. Mahesh Bhatt’s son Rahul Bhatt confirmed the reports of his father’s surgery.

As reported by ETimes, Rahul Bhatt informed that his father was taken to the hospital 4 days ago and underwent heart surgery there. Updating about his health condition, Rahul said that Mahesh Bhatt is back home and now recovering.

He added, “But all’s well that ends well. He is alright now and back home. I cannot give you more details as too many people were not allowed in the hospital. At present no other family members, including Soni Razdan, Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt have commented on the matter.

Mahesh Bhatt turned a grandfather in November with the birth of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s daughter Raha Kapoor. The Filmmaker- couldn’t hide his joy and expressed his happiness at playing the new role.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot in April last year and welcomed their daughter in November. The couple is currently busy taking care of their daughter and professional commitments.

Alia Bhatt will be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh. She is also marking her Hollywood debut with Heart Of Gold which will release in August.

On the work front, Mahesh Bhatt is gearing up for his upcoming project 1920: Horrors of Heart. Written by him. The movie features Avika Gor of Balika Vadhu fame. 1920: Horrors of Heart will mark her Bollywood debut. Apart from Avika Gor, the movie will also see Randheer Rai in a key role. The film is produced by Vikram Bhatt and directed by his daughter Krishna Bhatt.
